چکیده

Katarni is a non-basmati traditional aromatic rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivar of Bhagalpur district Bihar. This weak strawed, traditionally tall type, late maturing and easily prone to lodging. Due photosensitive nature, it matures very only at the end November provide narrow window for sowing wheat in farmers’ filed. An experiment was conducted Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, during 2018 2019 develop semi-dwarf early lines derived from crossing with 3 high yielding cultivars were advanced F5 generation. In this study, 54 F6 generation studied on basis 14 morphological traits yield stability analysed 4 environments. The environments created by different dates across two years (2018 2019) single location Sabour. Significant variability found among genotypes four principal components (PC) identified, out which contributed 98.9% total variation. Six breeding entries be significantly superior over parental checks grain yield. Five identified as highly stable GGE AMMI analysis. All constituted mega first one shared best set Katarni-derived lines. promising higher performance can further evaluated under multi-location testing varietal release.

Emergence of Red Rice (Oryza sativa) Ecotypes Under Dry-Seeded Rice (Oryza sativa) Culture1

The effect of seeding depth on emergence of red rice (Oryza sativa) ecotypes from Arkansas (AR), Louisiana (LA), and Mississippi (MS) was determined under dry-seeded rice production in clay and silt loam soils in Arkansas. By 21 d after planting (DAP), all red rice ecotypes had emerged from planting depths of 1.3, 2.5, 5.0, and 7.5 cm in both clay and silt loam soils. In silt loam soil, seedlin...

Genetic diversity analysis of recombinant inbred lines of rice (Oryza sativa L.) using microsatellite markers

Estimation of genetic diversity is an important factor in germplasm conservation and characterization. In rice breeding programs, genetic diversity information on specific regions of genome can be very useful for the application of marker assisted selection (MAS) and for gene mapping. A total of 152 rice lines were considered for breeding programs using microsatellites (SSR) technique. The tota...

The Globulins of Rice, Oryza Sativa

Compared with the proteins of other cereals, those of rice haye been but little studied, notwithstanding the fact that rice constitutes one cf the most important sources of food for a large part of the world’s population. One reason for this is doubtless due to the unusual distribution of the classes of protein found in this seed. Unlike the proteins of other cereals, nearly all of the proteins...

Protein profile of rice (Oryza sativa) seeds

Seeds are the most important plant storage organ and play a central role in the life cycle of plants. Since little is known about the protein composition of rice (Oryza sativa) seeds, in this work we used proteomic methods to obtain a reference map of rice seed proteins and identify important molecules. Overall, 480 reproducible protein spots were detected by two-dimensional electrophoresis on ...

DIVERSITY ANALYSIS IN BORO RICE ( Oryza sativa L . ) ACCESSIONS

An experiment was conducted with 36 accessions of traditional (local) Boro rice germplasm accessions of three different groups (20 accessions as Kaliboro, 12 as Jagliboro and 4 as Tepiboro) during Boro season 2004 at BRRI farm to identify the duplicates with the help of morph-agronomic characters. On the basis of D values, the 36 genotypes were grouped into six clusters with a range of intra (0...
